What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a conversation which helps us to live a better life.
It is a space in which we can usefully examine ourselves, our relationships and our experiences.
Psychotherapy lets us do this at our own pace, in the company of a person who is not directly involved in our day-to-day life.
People come to psychotherapy for different reasons.
Some are looking for support in coping with anxiety, depression or other difficult feelings.
Others come to resolve a crisis in their current life, or to work through past events that still affect them.
Some are seeking to understand themselves better, or find meaning as they enter a new phase of life.
Often, people come for more than one reason, and can discover unexpected ways to make use of therapy.
