What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a conversation which helps us to live a better life.
It is a unique space in which we can usefully examine ourselves, our relationships and our experiences .
Psychotherapy lets us do this at our own pace, in the company of a person who is not directly involved in our day-to-day life.
People come to psychotherapy for different reasons.
Some are looking for support in coping with anxiety, depression or other difficult feelings that have affected them for a long time.
Others come to resolve an immediate crisis in their current life, or to work through past events that still affect them.
Some are seeking to understand themselves better, or find a different perspective as they enter a new phase of life.
Often, people come for more than one reason, and usually discover unexpected ways to make use of therapy once they have started.
